“We employed Supply Chain Logistics Consulting Ltd
to conduct a review of our current warehousing and
transport operations in the UK and found that they
provide an outstanding customer service founded upon
the considerable hands-on experience so rarely found
in the consulting world.
They provided clear and comprehensible
recommendations that were quantified and
actionable. Additionally, their use of
up-to-the-minute technology also allows for speed of
response and access to data on an on-going basis
which are very user-friendly.
I would not hesitate in either using Supply Chain
Logistics Consulting Ltd again or recommending them
to other suitable clients.”

Moore
Large & Co are the largest distributor of cycles,
scooters and accessories in the UK.
Moore Large is a
privately owned family company that was established over
30 years ago. We pride ourselves on our comprehensive
and diverse product ranges, our track record of design
innovation and our solid reputation throughout the Cycle
industry.
Supply
Chain Logistics Consulting Ltd were given the brief of
looking at our existing operation and fitting it within
a smaller footprint on a new build, but with room for
future expansion.
After
2 days on site Graham Burgess had a good insight into
our business and gave professional constructive comments
on some existing systems that should be improved, but
left with the company looking forward to the "Management
Feedback Day".
On the
Feedback day we had a very professional presentation
showing our processes now and how to improve them, and
also a very good presentation showing our ideal
warehouse with layout drawings and work flows.
All
this fulfilled the brief completely, and we would have
no hesitation using or recommending Supply Chain
Logistics in the future.

Dexam
International Ltd
The Dexam
Group is a privately owned UK based company that was
established in 1957. Over the years it has expanded into
a group of associated companies and subsidiaries. Dexam
owns a company in France - Dexam SAS - which distributes
quality brands such as Oneida, Pimpernel, Lenox, T&G
Woodware and Mundial from its base at Coye La Foret,
just outside Paris.
Dexam's
head office is based in Midhurst, West Sussex,
co-located with its warehouse. For almost 50 years Dexam
has been sourcing and supplying top quality, innovative
kitchenware to independent retail outlets and department
stores. We source from over 100 factories in 25
countries, with the continual aim of finding the unique
and advanced products that have the correct mix of
quality and price for today's market place.
We have used Supply
Chain Logistics Consulting Ltd to advise us on
options for a new build warehousing solution that we
need as Dexam grows. Graham's response to my initial
queries was extremely rapid. He was offering advice
on site within days of my initial enquiry and
subsequently reported back in detail with outline
plans that fitted a range of size options.
I was very
pleased and confident with his commonsense approach
and the level of detail he provided in these
early stages of the project. He responded
thoroughly, quickly and helpfully to queries and
variations on his proposals such that should the
project move into an implementation phase, Supply
Chain Logistics Consulting Ltd will be
my consultants of choice."

Anixter International Ltd
UK Logistics & Distribution Review
Anixter International is the
world's leading supplier of communications products used
to connect voice, video, data and security systems.
Anixter is also the leading provider of electrical and
electronic wire and cable, fasteners, and other small
components to build, repair and maintain a variety of
systems and equipment.
The task given to Supply Chain
Logistics was mainly to assess our current warehouse
operations and the related UK distribution processes of
our major carrier in Birmingham.
The initial enquiry was
immediately addressed. Within few weeks we had a well
defined procedure on how the investigations was going to
be held on both our internal processes and within our
carrier's team.
The work done was very well
detailed and professionally handled. The assignment
scrutinised our systems, warehouse operations, sales
procedures and our carrier's logistics operations. Very
good communication style when handling queries and
reporting internal issues from both our internal
operations and our carrier' s team.
The quality of the work
received was very good and brought benefits to our
company. major benefit was the awareness of the
limitations we have at present within our procedures.
We would be happy to use Supply
Logistics and Consulting again if required In addition I
would like to say that they have been also helpful in
giving advise on few issues outside our main scope of
work. Well Done.

Logistics Improvement Assessment
We
invited Supply Chain Logistics onto our site to look at
our process flows around the site. Graham Burgess was
very responsive and very efficient in responding to our
request. During the site visit, Supply Chain Logistics
Consulting quickly understood our processes, and
immediately identified bottlenecks on our site that
could improve flows, and increase efficiency. After the
site visit, a solution was proposed and a site map
prepared, detailing where we could gain efficiency and
improve our procedures.
We found the consultation extremely useful, and would
recommend Graham to any company trying to improve
efficiency in their business!

AQA -
Assessment & Qualifications Alliance:-
AQA is one of three unitary awarding bodies in
England offering general qualifications to candidates
(mainly in the 14-19 age range) in schools and colleges
in the UK and overseas.
As part of its work, AQA distributes examination materials to its
centres on a national basis. In the course of a recent
restructuring exercise, Supply Chain Logistics provided
a consultancy service to assist in the setting up of a
new Logistics centre. The service offered was highly
professional, analytical and produced a series of
extremely accurate, timely and practical audits of
current practices. This has enabled AQA to introduce
revised working practices which will be cost effective
for the organisation and for its customers.

Re-Supply Chain
Logistics Consulting Ltd. (Logistics Centre
Process Improvement & Cost Reduction Opportunity
Assessment).
- Approach: friendly and professional.
- Communication and style: direct and relevant.
- Methodology: professional. Time well spent on
understanding the current system, and identifying
areas for improvement.
- People: the approach was inclusive which assisted
with getting the Logistics Centre team on board.
- Management Feedback: web based system of
presentation very good. Some of the terminology needed
to be digested, but in general it was to the point.
- Anticipated Results: we envisage there to be at
least a 50% improvement in productivity. Benefits will
also be derived from process flow improvements. We
would require a follow-up visit in a couple of months
to 'fine tune" procedures.
- Yes we would use supply chain logistics again.
- We look forward
to taking the Logistics Centre Team to the next
level (plus 1) with your assistance.
Kind Regard

Logistics Centre Review carried out by Supply Chain
Logistics Consulting Ltd:-
The
following is a short note of our experience with Mr.
Graham during his week long review:
His approach was very much focussed to our requirements
and had a very simple and humble communication style due
to which he was widely accepted by the entire Logistics
Centre Team. The review has been detailed and practical.
We expect nothing less than the best efficiency once the
system is implemented and cannot stop short of
recommending his services in future.

Dear
Graham.
May I
take this opportunity to thank you & your company for
the excellent service & commitment that was shown during
our latest internal improvement programme.
The way
that you conducted yourself whilst inside our building
was of the highest standards, you made our personnel
feel at ease with clear visible & easy to follow
instructions. The process change was very professionally
conducted & with clear guidelines that helped everyone,
and the implementation was a very smooth transition.
The
main reasons for this success I believe was the way both
companies worked together with high levels of
communication, mutual trust & a belief that it could be
possible on both sides. The process improvement ideas
now save our company money, less manpower hours &
increased our quality to our Customers. I will have no
hesitation in working with your company again with you
in the future.
Best
Wishes & Regards

The Annual NW Supply
Chain Lecture was recently held at the NWDA and the
input of Graham Burgess, MD Supply Chain Logistics
Consulting Ltd was a perfect fit with which to round
off the event.
The event itself
covered Threats & Opportunities facing the NW
Aerospace Supply Chain, and Graham highlighted the
clear opportunities which exist at the operational
level to take out waste and help the UK supply chain
more successfully compete with overseas low cost
competition. This was applicable not only in
Aerospace, but in all manufacturing sectors.
Grahams valued
contribution displayed not only the agility of his own
organisation to successfully cover many aspects of a
companies operation, but also detailed how a new pair
of eyes can quite simply take cost out and add value
to the "bottom line". The experience of Graham & his
organisation was evident throughout, as a number of
live examples were discussed.
My only concern after
the event was that I hoped I had not left it too late
to book Supply Chain Logistics Consulting Ltd for the
2006 NW Supply Chain Lecture !

Process
Improvement Review conducted by Supply Chain Logistics
Consulting Ltd.
The assignment carried out by
Supply Chain Logistics (Graham Burgess) has been
professional and thorough. The work was of a hands-on
nature and because of this was well accepted by all
staff with whom he was dealing with at Plum. The
Management feedback session was very useful and at the
same time clear as to what was needed to be done. We
are implementing most of the suggestions made by
Graham Burgess and would certainly use their services
again and equally we would recommend them.
Yours sincerely

TDG - Transport Development Group
Plc.
During 2004 TDG Plc
embarked on a group wide project to implement a CRM
system. To assist with this initiative TDG employed
Supply Chain Logistics Consulting to provide an
independent review of the business processes involved
in the customer engagement process.
Throughout May-July over
50 people were interviewed across the group. SCLC was
responsible for interviewing, collation and
presentation of results to arrive at a standardised
set of business processes.
Whilst working on the
project SCLC became an active and valuable member of
the project team. SCLC’s knowledge and skills provided
TDG with the resources to overcome an already
challenging project.
TDG found SCLC’s
- Approach to the project - methodical and
systematic
- Communication style - open and interactive
- Review methodology - thorough and in-depth
- Management feedback sessions – valuable in
understanding key areas for concentration
TDG would have no hesitation in employing the
services of SCLC in the future.
